Giessener Allgemeiner (Germany) - Sascha Jouni - 11/12/2006
„Stimmungstvolle Interpretationen“
„The playful tone seeping through is typical of birbynė (reed-pipe). Darius Klišys is a true professional of music performed on this instrument. [...] The impressive performance by Klišys has shown that this musical instrument can be used to play not only folk music, but also Baroque gems. His skilful use of the instrument speaks of intensive studies. [...] G. F. Hendel (Sonata C major), with its deep melancholic mood and delicate interpretation of the musical piece, was a rare pleasure to the ear. The musical interpretation captured with suggestion, was highly nuanced and had a complete intonation. [...] It would be practically impossible to achieve a better articulation and a more polyphonic clarity. Melodic charm and elegance intertwined with most unexpected passages“.

Giessener Anzeiger (Germany)- Langer Beifall - 11/12/2006
„Der Birbyne und Orgel schöne Melodien entlockt“
„[...] both the choice of the programme, which provided an integral fabric of the performance, and the 17th century music written in Lithuania, emphasised once again the unlimited possibilities of birbynė“.

Czech Music Direct (UK)
„Ensemble „Reversio“ - Baroque and Contemporary Lithuanian Music with a Difference! [....]Depending on the performers technique, creativity and repertoire the instrument (birbyne) can sound like an oboe, flute, clarinet, saxophone or even a trumpet!“

Gazette Chicago (USA) - Gabija Steponėnaitė - 01/01/2010
„Unusual instrument integrated into choral music concert“
„To my knowledge, it is the first attempt to fuse reed-pipe and choral music traditions in Lithuania's music history,“ said Darius Polikaitis, Dainava's music director. The birbyne will be played by Darius Klisys, who has performed at Carnegie Hall.

Suvalkietis (Lithuania) - Nijolė Treinytė - 2/10/2008
„Court Music at an Exclusive Concert“
„The early music ensemble Concerto Polacco from Warsaw played the 17th-18th century music only in Marijampolė and Kaunas. [...] Listeners could become satisfied with the infinity of musical expression and, of course, the skill of the birbynė player (Darius Klišys). There is, however, no need to argue on this point: throughout the performance the instrument of the musician from Marijampolė was diffusing true charm“.

Sydney Lithuanian Information Center (Australia), Lithuania in the News 19/04/2009
„Lithuania's Musical Instrument „Birbynė“ on the International Classical Music Stage“
„The „birbynė“ is beginning to be recognised on the international classical music stage and its video presentation on YouTube by Darius Klišys impressed many critics.“

America.gov (USA) – Michael Gallant – 14/05/2009
„International Musicians Come Together Online and Onstage“
„It was the first time that the birbynė was integrated into a symphony orchestra as fullrate instrument,“ Klisys said. „And this happened not in my motherland - what a shame! - but in America, a country, one has to admit, that is open to cultural novelties.“

Suvalkietis (Lithuania)- Lina Volungytė - 11/10/2007
„An Hour of Wandering through Baroque...“
„The ensemble „Reversio“, who played „The Baroque Love Songs“ at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, presented the residents of Marijampolė with an hour of express brightness and lucidity. [...] I heard that quite a number of people were surprised that this was a local ensemble. [...] Those who have already heard their earlier performances and those who were admiring the Baroque music for the first time, when they hear the name of „Reversio“, will definitely not hesitate whether to go and hear them again or not..“

Financial Times (UK) - Richard Fairman – 28/03/2009
„YouTube Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall“
„Perhaps the most important lesson is that nobody can predict what will happen if opportunities to make music are thrown open worldwide. Darius Klisys from Marijampole, Lithuania, plays a wind instrument called the birbyne. (Try his audition video on YouTube, where he gives a nicely plaintive performance of the slow movement from Mozart's Clarinet Concerto.) Klisys only put up his video audition so that more people might find out what the birbyne is, but now he is on his way to Carnegie Hall.“
